In memoriam (Michel Schreuder)
On Wednesday, April 10 2024. I got an intense sad message that my drum teacher (Michel) died. I couldn't believe it. And I still can't believe it. He was 55 years old, and he had a wife and two very young children (10 and 13)
Michel was like a second father to me. I started following drum lessons at his company when I was 13 years old. And now I'm 24 years old. He always gave me really good advices, and I could talk about everything with him. He always helped me, both musically and mentally. And we could laugh really hard about just the silliest little things. He was my best friend. Words can not describe how much I'm gonna mis him.
But I'm not going to quit with playing the drums. Don't worry about that. We (the band of Maureen Freie), have a lot of really cool plans for the future. And I'm going to search for a new place where I can follow drum lessons. And of course, I have my youtube channel, wich I'm going to continue to play drum covers on.
Michel, thank you for everything that I'v learned from you. I'll never forget you!
